Approach.
What makes Dr. Nina unique as a clinical psychologist is her interest in diversity, intersectionality, cultural background, spirituality, and their influence on our unique presence in the world. It’s important throughout therapy to make connections between the ways in which we are raised/our own uniqueness (the messages internalized), and how we show up in the present moment.
She enjoys working with individuals looking to up-level their lives, and live more consciously. Individuals that are excited to explore methods to live a more fruitful, fun, and expansive life work well with Dr. Nina’s style. Her clients tend to set treatment goals to worry less, laugh and appreciate more, and finally and most importantly, connect to our deepest authentic selves.
Dr. Nina’s style is warm, relational, evidence-based, and fun. She enjoys humor during appropriate moments, and spends mindful time developing a comfortable, compassionate, and empathetic therapeutic alliance with every client.
Every individual’s story deserves to be held tenderly and non-judgmentally. Utilizing a collaborative and goal-setting approach, she enjoys working side-by-side with each individual, to ensure the treatment chosen matches the individual or couple’s aligned values and goals.

FAQs

100% of my clients are treated virtually, via a HIPAA-compliant medical system. This was a thoughtful decision, as I would like to expand the range of the individuals and couples I treat. This virtual resource allows me to see clients throughout the state of California.

I do not treat children or adolescents. My clients are adults, specifically individuals and couples over the age of 18.

I am an independent contractor for the employee assistant program (EAP) Lyra Health. Additionally, I accept private pay clients. If your insurance plan offers out-of-network coverage (usually a PPO plan) for outpatient behavioral health or mental health, I am more than happy to provide you with a super-bill at the end of the month. You can submit this form to your insurance plan for partial or total reimbursement. Further, my sessions are variably eligible for HSA/FSA plans. I suggest you check with your individual insurance provider to verify the above information. Of note, full payment is due at the time of service.

My office policy is similar to the industry standard, which includes a 24 hour cancellation notice requirement. A patient ‘no show’, and/or failure to keep a scheduled appointment, without notification 24 hours in advance, will incur fees.
